The attraction, which has been closed since January, is set to reopen on November 20, 2026, and the photos reveal that Universal is not replacing the classic ride with something entirely new. Instead, it's giving one of Islands of Adventure's most beloved attractions a major refresh while keeping the experience guests have loved for decades.
One of the most interesting discoveries is a partial water test. While much of the ride remains drained as crews continue working, sections of the waterway have been refilled, suggesting Universal has begun testing portions of the attraction's systems.
